FAQ

We're here for any questions you may have:

Into the Ocean

Who is
Medi-Redi for?

Medi-Redi is a Canadian medication preparedness service designed to help you prepare for common health concerns that may arise while traveling or when access to medical care is limited.

You complete a health and travel intake and meet virtually with a licensed Nurse Practitioner. After reviewing your individual health history and travel plans, the Nurse Practitioner determines which medications, if any, are appropriate for you.

Approved prescriptions are then dispensed by a licensed pharmacy and delivered to you.

Do I need to have a
virtual consultation?

Yes, You can easily schedule a phone or video consultation with our licensed nurse practitioners through Janeapp and complete our online intake form.

Can I choose which medications I receive?

You can select the Medi-Redi package and optional additions that best match your needs, but every prescription is subject to an independent clinical assessment.

How far in advance should I order?

We recommend starting the Medi-Redi process well before your departure date.

This allows time for your intake, Nurse Practitioner consultation, pharmacy processing, and delivery, as well as time to address any additional questions that arise.

What is included in the price?

Your Medi-Redi purchase includes the medication preparedness service, prescribed medications, a  downloadable guide book, and delivery, depending on the package selected.

The exact inclusions and price are shown before purchase.

Nurse Practitioner consultation is $30.

Does Medi-Redi replace
a travel clinic?

Not always.
Medi-Redi focuses on medication preparedness and prescription treatment options that may be appropriate for
your circumstances. Depending on your destination and itinerary, you may also need vaccines, malaria prevention,
or other destination-specific travel health advice.
Some travellers may benefit from both a Medi-Redi consultation and additional travel-health services.
